Broker Relations
At Hopper Communities, we value our working relationship with the Real Estate Community. Through the years, we have formed strong partnerships with Brokers who have introduced our homes to their clients and together we have assisted hundreds of Homeowners through the Buying Process, making it a smooth and enjoyable experience.
- With the changes as of August 1, 2024, we will continue to work with the Real Estate Community and pay a commission of 2% of the total Sales Price on all homes, excluding the “Affordable Housing Program” – which will be paid out 1.5%.
- In order to be eligible for the commission, a Broker must have a signed, written Buyer Agency Agreement with a potential Buyer prior to them touring a home.
- If a Buyer visits a Hopper Communities Model Home without their Broker, they must indicate they are working with one by completing this section on our Registration Form and confirming they have signed a Buyer Agency Agreement with that Broker.
- If a Buyer fails to indicate that they have a signed Buyer Agency Agreement with a Broker and tour our community unrepresented, there will be no commission paid to any Broker.
- In addition to the above, once a Buyer has toured a Hopper Communities community and indicated they are not working with a Broker, they may not include a Broker in the transaction in the future. It is their decision if they want to engage/employ a Broker after their visit with us, and we will work in tandem with the Broker to secure the sale, but we will not pay a commission to that Broker.
- The above information is designed to bring clarity to our Broker Relations Policy and what steps need to be in place for Hopper Communities to compensate a Broker.
